How to make your own fresh guacomole



Good chunky tasty stuff not some of that 'orrible slimy green stuff that comes from the shops and looks like green baby food.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 limes
  • a small bunch of fresh corriander
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 or 3 fresh chilies
  • a medium onion
  • a large firm tomato
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Directions:

  1. Cut the avocados in half and spoon out the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Finely chop the coriander,chillies, garlic,onion and tomato.
  3. Grind the corriander chilies garlic and salt in a pestle and mortar.
  4. Mash the avocado flesh with a potato masher.
  5. Add the ground ingredients to the avocado and mix in the lime juice.
    to attain a dropping consistency.
  6. Fold in the finely chopped onion and tomato.
  7. Serve.

Try it with some plain tortilla chips and a Marguerita.
